This handmade kilim rug is flat woven using a tapestry technique and made entirely from hand-spun Afghan wool. These exceptionally elegant rugs feature soft pastel colors as well as natural variations in undyed wool. They are woven by Uzbek weavers in central Afghanistan, near the city of Maimana. The archaic patterns have changed little over the centuries. But the use of soft colors has modernized these kilims for contemporary interiors. This is a beautiful tribal kilim, entirely hand-woven and designed to give you years of pleasure.
