This handmade kilim is flat woven using a tapestry technique and is made entirely from hand-spun Afghan wool. These exceptionally elegant rugs feature soft pastel colours and natural variations in undyed wool. They are woven by Uzbek weavers in central Afghanistan, near the city of Maimana. The archaic patterns have changed little over the centuries, but the use of soft colours has modernised these kilims for contemporary interiors. This is a beautiful, fully hand-woven tribal kilim designed to provide years of enjoyment.
