This handmade kilim rug is flat-woven using a tapestry technique and made entirely from hand-spun natural undyed Afghan wool. These exceptionally elegant rugs derive their color solely from the natural variations of the undyed wool. They are woven by Uzbek weavers in central Afghanistan, near the city of Maimana. The archaic patterns have changed little over the centuries. This reinterpreted Maimana kilim features a beautiful texture and elegant neutral tones; it is refined, understated, and subtle. It is a magnificent tribal kilim for modern interiors.
